Cypriot Halloumi Salad
A fresh Cypriot salad with grilled halloumi, tomatoes, cucumber, onion, olive oil, lemon, and oregano.
Sesame noodle salad combines cool noodles with crisp vegetables, cooked edamame and a ginger-sesame dressing. The strands should separate easily and carry a light, even coating. Cabbage and carrot provide crunch against the softer noodles.

Follow the measured ingredients, numbered method, substitutions, safety notes and cooking mode below.
Wheat and rice noodles need different preparation, so follow the selected packet. Cook edamame as directed and drain well. Sesame oil is strongly flavoured; measure it alongside the soy sauce and vinegar.
Cook noodles to a firm eating texture, cool appropriately and drain thoroughly. Toss with part of the dressing to separate them, then fold in vegetables and edamame. Add sesame seeds at the end.
Clumped noodles may be too soft or poorly drained. If the salad absorbs all its dressing after chilling, add a small fresh amount at serving. Rice noodles alone do not establish a gluten-free dish if the sauce contains wheat.

Drain noodles until no water drips from them; retained rinse water weakens the dressing.

Wash produce and use clean utensils. Keep perishable ingredients refrigerated. Refrigerate cooked food in shallow containers within 2 hours, or within 1 hour when the surroundings exceed 32°C.
Serve cool with spring onion and sesame visible across portions. Keep prepared noodles refrigerated rather than leaving the salad out for a long buffet.
Keep prepared components covered at 4°C or below. Use within 2 days, or sooner if a package use-by date requires it. Store dressing separately where possible; do not leave perishable salad at room temperature for more than 2 hours.
